Lucknow, India
Not every poem
is written in ink.
Some are written in thread, by hand, in Lucknow. Each piece stays on the frame for as long as its detail asks, and is made to be kept.
The collection
Chapters of one house.

The hand
Crafted slowly, kept forever.
Every piece is embroidered by hand, by karigars in Lucknow and the villages around it. Fifteen days on the frame, or three months. Nothing about it is hurried, because nothing about it can be.
Close enough to count the thread.
